Happy National Poetry Writing Month- Day 27.

Seasoned

I’m holding myself together
In bunches.
Long stems
Thorned and
Prickly,
Petals
Delicately
Holding together before the
Fall.
When the first bitter breezes burn warm blushes to amber
I will scatter myself about
bride
and
groom
and
child
And hope
again
That seeds sewn
again
Will
blossom
so I may gather myself in these bunches
Again.
